Hi, I was just searching the web and found your site. I am the new owner of a vintage Home Craft, delta, jointer. I think it is a model 37-290 ? There is not alot of info out there on this tool . Just checking to see if you know this machine or where I can find out more about it. There is no mod. number on it. Only a serial # 69-9531. It is a 4 in. I think maybe 1950? I also have a darra james 8 in. tilting table saw,1946 vintage. My last oldie but goodie is a Walker Turner bench top drill press, any info on these tools would be great. Thanks, Mike.
if you are looking to collect a very rare and fully operational 22" flat belt driven wood planer made between 1862 -1878 charles buss and son makers marlboro NH , i am a member of this site or e mail me at zr55@uninets.net
I have an old drill stand. It was made by the Ind. Pneumatic Tool Co. but it also has on it "THOR". The plate has mod. 759 ,NO.DSUD and ser.# 208803. I am trying to find out info like year made and if it possibly has any value. Our family has had it since at least the 1950's. If anyone has any info or resources to help datethis stand please let me know.
Thank you, Becky
I have a question about my Delta Milwuakee 37-207 6" jointer.
I've been having trouble setting my infeed and outfeed tables level. I set new knives recently using a dial indicator referencing the outfeed table, so my knives are level and parallel to the outfeed. The problem is that all of my boards are coming out convex.
It seems that the infeed table dips towards the knives about 1/32". I adjusted the gibs and seemed to have both tables coplaner until I lowered the infeed. It seems to lower at a faster rate on the end closest to the knives, while the back end of the infeed stays level with the outfeed, thus creating this 1/32" dip.
Do you have any advice on how to finesse these gibs or what could be causing this problem?
